Nowadays, most people's lives are surrounded by technology, and I am no exception. I could consider that technology plays a very important role in my life, because it is already included in my routine from the moment I wake up until I go to sleep.
Like any teenager, the electronic device that I am closest to is the mobile phone, but why? Well, this is because it is a very useful technological tool in today's society, with it you can connect to the internet in a very simple way, and you can also be in constant contact with people through various applications, the latter is possible thanks to social networks, these applications have a very present role in the lives of people, especially teenagers. I am a teenager in constant contact with these applications, the social network that I use the most is Facebook, however I don't usually publish anything on my accounts on any social network, I do everything as a precaution.
In itself, social networks do not have a great weight on me, because I always take the necessary precautions to feel comfortable and safe in the applications. I do go on social media regularly during the day, but I only use it for a bit of entertainment. But I know that not many people follow the same precautions as I do, so it is important to know these and apply them to the use of our networks. Some of the precautions are:
1. Set privacy settings - Manage who can see posts and information on your account.
2. Limit the view of your profile - Limit security settings to "friends only" to reduce the likelihood that a criminal will find your profile.
3. Don't accept friend requests from strangers - This will help you avoid receiving unwanted messages that breach your security.
4. Use security technologies - Install anti-virus, firewall and anti-spam solutions, this will reduce the risk of online threats.
5. Limit your messages - Limit who can send you messages, this way you will avoid unwanted messages.
If you follow these tips, you will be establishing security parameters in your accounts, because you will only be in contact with people you know and you will not run the risk of someone doing something against you, it has been working very well for me to follow these guidelines, I take care of my personal data and I keep unwanted people away from my profile, it is definitely a good combination.
